Simonee Chichester

Simonee (Simone with the “e”), originally from Toronto, has been practicing yoga for nearly 20 years. She began her practice in the hot room with Bikram and moved over to Moksha/Modo, upon its creation, under the teachings of co creators Jess Robertson and Ted Grand.

Simonee did her 500-hour teacher training in October 2011 in Montreal. Since that time she’s remained curious and committed to being a life long student, continuing to build on her love for yoga by exploring subsequent teacher trainings in Yin, Vinyasa, Yoga Sequencing and Yoga therapy. She has a passion for bringing folks together and also regularly leads yoga retreats that aim to get back to basics by delving deeper into yoga on and off the mat.

Simonee has lived a full and diverse life, she brings wisdom and authenticity to the classroom, and offers a challenging workout while remaining accessible for beginners. When not in the hot room, she is a storyteller who writes and directs films; and strives to combine her teaching techniques with her skills of storytelling to lead intuitive and innovative classes.

In addition to her love of yoga and film Simonee is also a lover of animals, she runs an Instagram page called Animals I Meet.
