Join us for a sweet send-off to our longtime teacher and friend on Tuesday Aug 20 at 10:30, when Brianna will provide live tunes for Jess’ final Modo Music class at Uptown. Bri will play a chill mix of classic and new songs to help gather Uptown’s loving vibes for Jess as we wish her all the best on her next adventure.
The pelvic floor and core provides support and stability to the pelvic organs that contribute to bladder, bowel and sexual function. There are many habits, conditions, and life cycle events (i.e. pregnancy and post-partum) that can take the pelvic floor and structures out of alignment contributing to pelvic organ prolapse, urinary difficulties, constipation, pain, challenges with sex, and diastasis recti. Yoga is an ideal avenue to begin healing the pelvic floor as the combination of breath focused work and strengthening/stretching postures allows for deep self-awareness.
In this course we will work with the breath, fluid movement and held postures to build a strong foundational practice focused on pelvic health and pelvic core awareness.
This course is open to new parents who have given birth vaginally or by c-section (pre-crawling babies welcome), and any individual wanting to gain a deeper awareness and understanding of their pelvic floor after childbirth.
